Our company was founded on the principal of ‘restoration’ rather than ‘renovation’ of historic-quality houses. We also offer consulting in the realm of Historic Preservation through house-moving. Please feel free to explore our web site to learn more about:

A. The complete story of how we were given a beautiful five-bedroom Craftsman style house for $1 which we moved three blocks!

In February 5, 2003 we completed the Craftsman house restoration at 45th & Graham. Please read the stories below in regard to the background of how this ambitious project came to be and the Seattle Times article from October 14, 2002, about how a house gets saved by moving it!

You may explore this site to see photos posted from the inside of the restored house, plus more information about the story and the improvements that have been done! Also, don't hestiate to call Jeff McCord at 206-933-9699, or Contact Us! to ask any questions about this or other projects

D. Another project in which House to Home was involved in helping to see an “historic quality” residential house get saved is what we refer to as the “Ballard Farmhouse.” We were given the house for $1, and, after locating a ”receiving“ lot, we gave the house to my friend Mark Houston and his partners who then moved and resotored the house at its new location at 918 NW 60th Street in Ballard. Please feel free to look at the following pictures of the house move in-progress:
